Our Story
How It Began
Born from a belief that a drink can change everything.
Temptation Potions was born in 2018 in a small London kitchen, from a single obsessive question: why do the most memorable moments of our lives so often involve a drink? Not the alcohol — the ritual. The anticipation. The first sip of something that feels like it was made for you alone.
Our founder, a former perfumer and flavour consultant, began experimenting with the same techniques used in haute parfumerie — layering base notes, heart notes, and top notes — but applied to liquid experiences designed to be tasted, not worn.
What began as a private obsession became a quiet word-of-mouth phenomenon. The first bespoke commission arrived before we had a name. By the time we did, we had already created potions for a Tuscan wedding, a private gallery opening in Mayfair, and a proposal on the Amalfi Coast.
What We Believe
Four principles that guide every drop.
Intention
Every potion begins with a question: what feeling do we want to create? We never start with ingredients — we start with emotion.
Rarity
We source only what cannot be found on a supermarket shelf. Persian saffron, Bulgarian rose absolute, aged mezcal from a single distillery.
Restraint
Luxury is knowing when to stop. Our potions are never over-complicated — every element earns its place or it is removed.
Ceremony
The ritual of opening, pouring, and tasting is as important as the liquid itself. We design the entire experience, not just the drink.
The Craft
Ingredients sourced from the ends of the earth.
We treat our ingredients the way a master perfumer treats raw materials — with reverence, patience, and an almost unreasonable level of specificity. We don't use rose. We use Bulgarian rose absolute, harvested at dawn in May, from a single cooperative in the Valley of Roses.
Every batch is made by hand in our London Atelier. We work in small quantities — never more than 48 bottles at a time — because quality cannot be scaled without compromise. Each bottle is filled, sealed, and labelled by hand.
Our process draws from three disciplines: perfumery, mixology, and flavour science. The result is something that doesn't quite fit any category — and that, we think, is exactly the point.
